A SMALL-TOWN HOMECOMING Dear Reader,

Happy summer! Here's hoping yours is filled with plenty of fun, sun, and time for reading.

There's a new look at terrymclaughlin.com. I'm thrilled with the layout my designer, Maddee, created for me. And check out the original artwork by the talented Victoria Ryan—a different art print image on every page. Isn't it gorgeous?

I have a new book to share with you, too. A Small-Town Homecoming continues the series set in a fictionalized version of my part of the world: the northern California coast. In this story, self-assured architect Tess Roussel meets her match in bad-boy building contractor Quinn. I'm sure you'll enjoy discovering how these two manage to find their happy ending.

Now that grilling season is here, I'd like to share a recipe for a northern California-style salmon marinade and sauce: Blend together 1/2 Cup orange juice, 1/2 Cup soy sauce, 1/4 Cup horseradish mustard, 1/4 Cup fresh ground ginger, and 1/4 Cup honey. Spread the mixture over salmon steaks or fillets, marinade for at least thirty minutes, and then grill. If you prefer, double the recipe or reserve part of the mixture to warm in a pan and serve as a sauce. Enjoy!

Sending you wishes for sunshiny fun and shady spots for happily-ever-after reading—
